See the premier of this 48 Hour Film Project Entry In Old Town on Saturday, August 20, 2011, during our block celebration from 4 PM to 8 PM. Saturday is a birthday party for merchants Barbara (The Little Shop Of Arts And Antiques) and Hugh (Antiques In Old Town). In lieu of presents, the event is a fundraiser for Animal Action Rescue, a non profit animal rescue group in the metro Atlanta area. Event is open to the public. Live music and light refreshments. "The Find" will be shown several times during the 4 - 8 time period at The Old Town Lilburn Center For The Arts at 92 Main Street.
History of the film making: On June 11, from 8 a.m., to almost 8 p.m, Main Street was buzzing with filmmakers from the Atlanta 48-Hour Film Project. Filmmakers Jayson Palmer and Chris Ethridge brought a crew of approximately 20 actors, screenwriters and cameramen, to work on their entry in this annual contest.. Main Street and its shops are the background for this magical entry. Antiques In Old Town is featured in one of the major scenes. Old Town was the perfect setting for this charming seven minute film.
